Honoring our Golden and

Silver Stars

Iota Kappa Omega honored newly inducted Golden Sorors Ella T. Harris and Judy Rhodes during their past chapter meeting. The meeting was held on April 12, 2014 and also honored their Silver Star Sorors. Sorors serving 50 years in Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. are given the title Golden and sorors serving 25 years are given the title Silver Star.

7th Biennial Pearls and Rubies Benefit Luncheon

Iota Kappa Omega Sorors Delilah Jackson, LaVette Ford, and Mary Maultsby were honored by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated at their 7th biennial Pearls and Rubies Benefit Luncheon. The organization honored local educators in the Pitt County community. The luncheon was held on Saturday March 22, 2014 at the City Hotel and Bistro.  

2014 Pitt County Community Youth Summitt/Black History Quiz Bowl 

"Striving for Truth Excellence and Mission while exploring Science, Techology, Enginerring , and Mathematics (STEM)"

 

On February 15, 2014 the Iota Kappa Omega Chapter partnered with the Boys and Girls Club, local graduate and undergraduate chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated Zeta Eta Lambda/Eta Nu, Go-Science, Greenville Police Athletic League, and Thrift Me Pretty mentoring organization. The community youth summit provided a forum that equipped, excited, and connected middle and high school students.

2014 Pink goes Red

Iota Kappa Omega partnerned with the Zeta Omicron Omega Chpater of Kinston, NC for Pink goes Red. The night started off with line dancing and ended with fellowship at Yerbabuena Latin Grill & Bar. The event was held February 7, 2014.

2014 Pitt County NPHC Winter Social

Iota Kappa Omega fellowshipping with other members of the local NPHC. The social was held on January 24, 2014 in Greenville, NC Yerbabuena Latin Grill and Bar.

2014 Martin Luther King Jr. day of Service

 

​​Serving the Greenville community at the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina and South Greenville gym. Sorors also attended the Community Unity Breakfast at East Carolina University. The service was on Janurary 20, 2014

Honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and America's distinguished Veterans. The Sunday Supper was at Sycamore Hill Missionary Baptist Church on January 19, 2014
