Greetings!
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® has built a legacy of service and change in the African American community and beyond since 1908. The Iota Kappa Omega Chapter, established on October 28, 1972 strives to fulfill the mission of service and cultural enhancement through creative program initiatives and community partnerships.

The international program initiative developed by Dr. Glenda Glover, our International President, is Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. Through this international program, members of
Alpha Kappa Alpha will address community needs with programs in five target areas:
Target 1. HBCU for Life: A Call To Action
Target 2. Women's Healthcare and Wellness
Target 3. Building Your Economic Legacy
Target 4. The Arts!
Target 5. Global Impact

Our local program initiatives reflect and build on our international service agenda. Our chapter implements activities and events that allows our members to connect with and build community relationships and partnerships with other organizations.
​
The work of Iota Kappa Omega Chapter has impacted the Greater Greenville Community for over 45 years. Our signature events include our Fashionetta Pageant, Pink Pearl Luncheon, Senior Citizens Program and our Pink Masquerade Ball. In keeping with our international service agenda, we have organized events to promote awareness on intimate partner violence, Breast Cancer Awareness, Pink Goes Red, Relay for Life, Hope Lodge for cancer patients, donations to food banks, and leadership development for our A.S.C.E.N.D scholars.
Each member of the Iota Kappa Omega Chapter shares a commitment to service by dedicating time, talents and resources to create a world that empowers the lives of the community.
